Eat Bulaga?

I apologize profusely if you were looking for Eat Bulaga (no Sex Bomb Girls or Little Miss Philippines here...*well*, if you can accept a LITTLE Mrs. Philippines who wasn't born there, but actually born in Hawaii, or maybe flashback 10 years ago and if you squint your eyes super tight, I could *maybe* be confused for a SB Girl, then you've come to the semi-right place ).  While it is also a very popular daytime Filipino variety show, "eat bulaga" actually means "surprise" or "peek-a-boo."  Although, my dad explains the term to me like this..."You know when you want to scare somebody and you sneak up behind them, then you say 'EAT BULAGA!'  That's what that means."  So, I'm unclear whether it's supposed to be a *fun* thing or a *give you a heart attack* thing.  In any case, eat bulaga is just like food then...it can be super fun or give you a massive coronary...

To me, there's nothing more satisfying in life than enjoying a good meal with good friends and family.  That's the Filipino way.  Whether the cuisine is provided by a 4-star French restaurant in Boston's Back Bay or even the simplest Combo #1 Big Mac Meal from the local Mickey D's...I love food, all food, nothing but the food...oh and drinks too.  I loves me a mojito...especially this time of year.  Nothing brings that bit of extra sunshine into your day like food...whether it's a comfort meal that you've had a *thousand* times before or a recipe from a country halfway around the world that you would never visit...but you now know what their food is like.  That's eat bulaga
